Happy Birthday ^-^

Happy Birthday, Sylvana!
This is a little birthday drawing I meant for an adorable friend I had the honour to meet, and that's Sylvana (that blue-black striped fluffy wolf-girl in the picture), also known as Choco, who got this huuuuuge cake covered with loads of chocolate today (aaaand hopefully isn't going to finish it up all by herself ;3 )
I meant to post the picture for a while now, buuuut I didn't have the chance to, until today (though I e-mailed Sylvana the picture on her birthday on June 4 ^^ )
Comments and critique are very welcome (especially since I'll aaall open to making changes on this one, soooo .. feel free to go ahead and critique away ^-^)

Awr, it's really sweet that you thought of your friend during her birthday. I'm sure Sylvana was very happy! ;3
The picture is simply adorable, but I've noticed it's drawn in a more cartoony style than usual. Is Toby trying out new styles? xD But the detail, as usual, is
gorgeous . The mouse looks so cute in the front line of sight! <3
The only thing that I'd have to say is that the table looks slightly lobsided in the back; it dips too much. But still, it's just a minor thing. ^-^
*pokes* Thankies ^-^ I changed the table a little, soooo it should be looking a little less lobsided in the back :3 Thank you a lot for telling me, I toootally didn't realize that when I was drawing the picture ^^;
Oh yes, I am trying out new styles ;3 Told you in my journal, remember? ^-^ (oh, and I'll be getting back to your pictures soon too, I noticed you put up a few drawings, but I juuust didn't have the time to comment on them yet, because of exams and stuff ^^ Juuust so you don't think I'd forget :3 )
It was no prob! And now, the picture looks better than ever. <3
Aye, aye, I remember your journal. {Don't worry about it. I don't mind, not with the other comments I'm getting and all. Chances are I'll comment back late, too. Good luck with your exams, if your're not finished yet. :P}
Teheh, my exams are aaaall finished, I'm already having holidays ^-^ (though it's going to rain today, it's been thundering for the past hour already *-* [who knows, might be your cloud throwing a fit?] Not that it's bad, I actually love rain ^-^)
Oh, and thankies ^-^ Aaalways good to know it worked ^-^
Huzzah! How did you do? Well, I hope. :3
{Oh, that's happening with us today; I love being in the dark of the thunderstorm. All in all, I do believe it is my cloud. Maybe it's because I forgot something. Hmmm... *-*}
<3
I doooon't know yet ;P I'm still waiting for the grades :3 What about you, did you already get your grades? How did
you do?
(Aww, lucky you ^-^ Rain and thunderstorms are really relaxing, oddly enough - I can sleep a lot better if it's raining outside, as long as the thunder's aaaall far away, in the distance ^-^ )
<3
All A+, and excellent effort. :B
Aye, aye, the same happens to me, too! I also think lighting more intriguing than other people, and love it if the electricity goes out and it's pitch black. O:
Wonderful as always. I really love the way the grass is done, so very detailed.
This looks like it took you a while to complete, there's so much detail in everything! I really like how you drew the clouds, all swirly. ^-^ The way you colored everyting ensures that there is no 'boring spot', like with all the colors in the sky and all the detail in the grass. And your lineless art is really amazing, have I ever told you that?
Thank you ^-^ I'll probably try adding some detail to the grass still (or remove some, to make the left-most part look more like the grass below the table, since it starts getting to look a litte busy), to make it look less uniform, buuuut we'll see ^-^
Glad you like that lineless style, eeeeven if it's not entirely lineless ;3
Daaaw, that's just too cute for words!! I just adore the bright cartoony-ness of everything here, all those adorable little flowers, and the ladybug, it's just all so gorgeous. Oooh, I just noticed the little necklace on the bird. xD All the little details you put into your work is just amazing, it's the things like that that make your pictures so much fun to look at, just so you can search for all the little details you put in. n_____n
Sylvana looks adorable too, I love her expression, it just makes you smile. :3
Oooh, I love the way you've put the funky splodgy shading in the sky too. It's just such a bouncy way to add interest to what would otherwise be a big bland mass of blue, it works reeeeeeally well. I can see it on the mountains too, it gives the impression of trees and smaller hills there, it looks brilliant.
(Those curly clouds are just plain adorable too. They look like the ones in the Hercules movie, only fluffy. n_____n I want to eat them.)
Aww, thank you, Kazzi ^-^ The colouring in the sky was actually just a little practice, but it's definitely something I'd like to keep doing and trying, because it makes the sky look much more interesting, like you said ^-^ Oh, and glad you like Sylvana's expression (if it actually made you smile, that's even more wonderful ^-^ Adorable flowers? Ack, look - now you've made them blush!) and all those little details as well :3
As for the clouds, I'd wait a little - it's not too long until the evening, then all the pinkish clouds arrive, which are said to taste juuuust like strawberry-cherry cotton candy ^-^
Very nice of you giving a gift to a friend of yours, giving gifts is so much fun! You should have puttin yourself in it, or then it would be like 'the lil birdy baked you a birthday cake!', well that would be funny if someone really belived that. I love that you put lil faces on the sun, really cute!
I spy, with my lil eye, something red!
lol, I love saying something random!
Thank you ^-^ Heh, aaaactually I could, yup, buuut I don't know why, I just felt that this is what I want to have the picture look like, especially because I wanted to try drawing it in her style :3
Besides, Toby's on the South Pole, sooooo .. he probably sent the cake down to CT so she could have it ;3
That's cool, and you did a good job too, I think ^^;.
lol, you are soo right, why didn't I think of that?
Sorry that I haven't posted earlyer, I really am sorry, I guss I keep forgeting to come by and comment. I truly am sorry ^^;
Aww, you do? Thank you, that means a lot to me ^-^ And yush, I'm actually a big fan of her style, I dooon't know how, but her characters look reeeally cute and cuddly for some reason ;3
And no worries about not posting earlier, I mean .. it happens, no? We always get busy at times and stuff like that X3 By the way, seeing you're a friend of Phiyrr if I recall right - did you try her game? X3
^^ Yeah, they are really cute! =3
Oh, okay, thats good. Yeah, I am a really good friend of hers, I tryed to play the game but my computer woln't let me, Phiyrr will let me play it at her house she said after she moves, I think. Well the reason why is that this dam computer would let me downlode anything, I'm trying to get my brother to put the Mac Office in my computer but he is too lazy! Well, yeah, it's all a big proble, but I'm trying to figher out my way around it to play it. Phiyrr said it is really cute.
Darn it Toby your not allowed to draw so cute! :3
Keep it up lil fella

Awr, not allowed? ;P What's the fine? ;3
Thanks for your comment <3
Holy cows, you just nailed the colors on this one. They're all great. And your clouds...and your sky...and the mountains...and the grass...and the characters...and everything, its all amazing!
And happy birthday to Sylvana. :D
The detail! It's gorgeous. Just looking at the sky, clouds and mountains (actually, the entire picture! ;P) kinda give you those "how did you do that?!" thoughts. *giggles* Also, that chocolate cake looks delicious. I would certainly like to have my birthday party at a beautiful place like that. *nod*nod*
Very nice job! For one thing, I always like how your grass is not only drawn-out to look lush and realistic, but it's even long, slightly uneven and has those little leafy weeds here and there. Which is why I don't understand why so many people kill their lawns with chemicals. This picture shows how nice it looks when things are just left to grow, then you get all those wildflowers and butterflies. ;3 The mountains look great as well, the textures you gave them creates a very realistic effect. Which contrasts quite well with the spotty shading in the sky, and the swirly couds. They aren't real-life details, but work nicely and make the picture interesting to look at; so it's kind of surreal in that sense. ^^ And of course, the way you drew Sylvana is adorable. The anatomy is simple but works nicely..makes her look very flexible, somehow. Wonderful drawing, I'm sure Sylvana would love it!
Oh, how lovely! ^_^
CHocolate cake seems to be a really nice idea. I might not know who Sylvana is in person, but I am sure that she will apprecaite your gift very much. You're kind, really :XD:
I love your style! So vibrant and the lineart is really clean. :D
Thank you ^-^ Do you have a page with your drawings too?
Toby
ok, i am killing myself! what do u use to make these?
Awwww everything you draw you just put that extra bit of effort into to make it even more cute...your art i just fantastic! From Sylvie's furry chest to the little mouse peering over the ribbon, its just so cute!
