Kazzi and Tai
(by Tobias , Sep 7, 2006 )
Yay, it's Kazzi's birthday! At least by Australian standards it is, since they have September 8 already (even though it's still dark night there), uuunless I've messed up, that is - then I'm either one day early, or one day late ;P
Anyhow - this is a little clay figure meant for
a very cute and adorable friend ; with Kazzi and her cute little pet-rat,
Tai , who is sitting on Kazzi's left arm and looking at her :3 (The photos are a bit blurry, I know, but the film took a while to develop, so I didn't know how the pictures would turn out)
~~~
There are a few things I meant to try out on this clay figure, since I always have troubles with them - for one I wanted to try to make Tai's (and of course Kazzi's, too) pose look natural and believable, and I also tried to model out Kazzi's muzzle (including mouth and everything), which - for some reason - I find reeeally hard to do, so I barely try ^^;
Made with Sculpey and acrylic paints.
Kazzi and Tai - Comments
Aww, too cute! ^ ^ Kazzi is gonna love it for sure!
What Zeta said. ^^ Having a clay figure like that is really special. ^^ Represent! =D I'm sure you did a lot better than I could ever accomplish, but then again, I never did try. <.< Hooray for cuteness, I like the way you did her face (nice angle on the top picture =] ) and also Tai! His tail, his facial shape, and also his cute legs look adorable. ^__^ Nice work. I guess the next part is sending it to her, right? ;) I'm sure you'd want it sitting next to her monitor or whereever she stores them. ^^
(Heeey, I thought you told me you didn't have a camera with you. <.< Or were you referring to a digital one? ;P )
Thank you, aaand glad you like the angle the photo was taken in, too ^-^ It was a little hard, because I had to take the photos first from all sorts of direction (I used an entire film on it ^^; ) and hope they'd come out alright, because I sent off the package after that (films take a couple of days until a week to develop here), and wouldn't have another chance to take photos of the clay figure ^^; Sooo, it's a good thing that they turned out all fine ^^
(and yush, as you might have guessed already, I was refering to a digital camera. I can take photos with my traditional camera just fine, but they take some time to develop. Aaand the sending part I did the same day I took the photos, too - not quite in time for her birthday, buuut it's the thought that counts, right? ^^)
Awr! I love the way that Tai is turning to face Kazzi, as it's exaxtly what realistic rats do in life when in somebody's hand (or paw). I must say that's may favorite part of the figure. <3
I like the new technique of making the muzzle, as everything seems even more life-like. The smile really caught me when I first looked at the picture. Though the left side from the viewers looks a bit lopsided, it's still alright. :D
I'm sure that Kazzi will love her birthday present. :B
Hehe, actually I've never held a rat in my hand before - just little kittens, that's all, sooo I'm glad to hear that the pose is looking all fine ^-^ The left side looks a little lopsided in the photos, I know - Kazzi's tilting her head slightly to the left, so she'd look right into Tai's eyes, which is why it looks the way it does ;3 Well noticed ^-^ I found it looked cuter than if she'd just sit all straight X3
(And yup, I hope she will ^^ She doesn't seem to have seen this yet, but she'll probably get the package with that clay figure in a handful of days, soo .. guess it'll be a surprise? ;3 )
Heheh. Little kittens. Almost as cute as numbats. <3 Oh, I see. :3
{Aye, aye. :P}
Oh, they're adorable - you should watch them climb up your pants when you're standing, it's really cute ^-^ (as long you don't mind their claws, that is - but they're so tiny still anyway, so it's not that bad ;3 Probably feels like acupuncture X3)
Awr. Though I would probably be too afraid to have a mouse scatter up my body; I was bitten once. ^-^;
Ow, sorry to hear ;_; Though, even when little kittens bite, it doesn't really hurt, since they're still so small - just don't let them chew on your thumb too long, otherwise they might just finally get it in a position where it does hurt X3
It's not your fault the hamster decide to attack. ^-^; Oh, I know that. Aren't their teeth still rounded and all? And their claws? But they're all so cute. <3
hb kazzi have a good day...nice fox
I have her sitting on my bookshelf right now!! :D (And all that chocolate sitting in the fridge - all that I haven't eaten yet, that is. xD) That's such a cute sculpture, I adore it, that's exactly what I look like when I'm playing with Tai. n____n Kazzi and Tai look so natural, you did really well with that, little Tai looks sooooo cute. He's acting just like he does in real life. :3
