Fan-Art for Lolly and Sylvana Comments: 17 Views: 7441 Happy Birthday
(by Tobias , Jun 18, 2004 )
Sometimes you're just on time when finishing a birthday picture, at times you're one day early, sometimes you're two days late - that's nothing for me - this one would be between one week (Lolly - right hand side) and two weeks (Sylvana - on the left) late.
Anyhow, it's better late than never, they say, and besides, both of them are very nice persons, so I definitely wanted to do that. The plushie on the top would be Lenore, since I got to know them in the same months (more or less, Lenore and Sylvana in October, Lolly in January), I pretty much associate one with another, and then again, they're all great friends, soo .. you would have a soft and squeezable plushy on the top (the collar can be taken off ^^; ), a no less soft blue always happy Sylvana on the left (who will shoot your water-driven rocket almost to the moon) and a fluffy green teal kitty with a strong affection to donuts of almost any kind.
Scaled down, even though a couple of details were lost that way ;_; The original drawing would have 1.5mb as JPEG, so I scaled it down to about to half its size .. meep.

That Javascript restriction had to be put in place due to the large amount of spam currently received - sorry for any inconvenience, you can thank those weirdos who have to get rid of their pills so bad, they have to spam websites hundred times a day. Not that they went through anyway, but just having hundreds of spam postings show up every day in the review queue is a little irritating ^^;
Happy Birthday - Comments
Like I said on DA; Preeety. n__n
And all the details look so...um..detailed too! I never realised the calendar had markings on it. =3 *George picks at the cake*
thanks ^.^
meep, it's actually rather detailed because the actual picture was a lot larger *smiles at George* they're not marshmallows, but at least there are Skittles on the cake ;) Let's hope they don't mind if you take a piece X3
Basically the same I said on DA. Squee X3
the red book on your shelf reads "SP2 - Spanish for the advanced" .. and the calendar has Light drawn in your style. no idea what you keep in the box with that padlock. ;P
Meep X3
Yup, I noticed :3
Maybe I keep pictures in there x3
but only the smaller ones ^.^ the bigger ones wouldn't fit in there ;)
I decided to open this page on Firefox to get a better look at all the details...it's awesome! l__x I never even noticed the stuff on the calendar and books before. XD
thank you ^.^ meep, I wanted to include a few details, so everytime I had a bit of time, I worked on something, like the calendar, the box, or your plushie .. so they ended up having a few details after a while.
also, thanks again for your nice comment on deviantArt, I do appreciate it a lot ^.^
You're very welcome...No need to thank me, it's I who must thank you for drawing it and doing so well :D
nooo way .. it was the very least I could do for you three, and of course I would try my best .. which not necessarily is much, but it's still a nice feeling that I put effort in it .. I mean, drawing very good friends such as you are a hasty picture just wouldn't feel right ^^;
Woops, hopefully this one'll come through right. ^^; Really nice work here with all the detail Tobers, the ends on the diamond that stand out, the seeds in the strawberry, the writing on the calender, all super details indeed. A good thing about the resizing is that the fur looks a lot more complex and thin, like actual fur on an animal. So all that detail was useful even if you couldn't see it resized. Really good idea of putting the detailed versions here. :3
hehe, it should come through right .. or didn't it work before? ^^;
Thank you again for your nice words, it's appreciated a whole lot. I noticed, that resizing does do wonders on details at times, as long as you don't resize too much .. I guess it's just about finding the right size, where loads of details are still visible, but they still look all thin and such.
Ooh, it was nothing with your website, I accidently hit the back button so it disappeared, and I was just hoping it didn't submit or that I wouldn't do that agin. ^^;
Your resizing came out just fine. And I suppose it's necessary since you'd wanted it to be easy to view and fully show up on screen. And even when it kicked out a lot of the detail you still got to show us how hard you worked on it, very kool indeed. :3
Awwww this one's so kyooooot. love it. good job.
I like the flame ^^ ((have you noticed i'm obsessed with fire???))
Flames are fun too draw (the one in the other picture came out a lot better, though ^^; )
